Why Tyler Huntley Will Go To The Dolphins

Tyler Huntley is currently a practice squad QB for the Baltimore Ravens, but things may just shake up to jumpstart his career.

Only 26 years old, he came in for Lamar Jackson a couple times over the years and proved that he can be a starter quarterback in this league or a backup at the least. But being on the practice squad was not what he had planned with his career

The injury to the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa is a big question mark for them now. They would have to depend on backup Skylar Thompson who is not the typical quarterback you want to be starting on your team.

This brings me to the chance of Tyler Huntley going to the Miami Dolphins and becoming the starter pretty much right away.

Reasons why

  1. He has experience as a starter for a winning team
  2. The addition of his agility could make it hard for defenses
  3. He’s a 64.6% career passer in the NFL

The experience he has goes a long way considering he has been learning from Lamar Jackson and they are similar players in style. He has some of the same attributes that Lamar possesses, and this could translate into being on his own in an offense for once.

The agility is a big part of this team considering they have a ton of speed. With De’Von Achane, Raheem Mostert, Jaylen Wright, Jaylen Waddle, and of course Tyreek Hill, Huntley joining this team would be the icing on the cake for the fastest team in the NFL.

With this being said, I see the Dolphins signing Tyler Huntley before this weekend and he could be the starting quarterback by week 4 when they take on the Titans at home on Monday Night.
